If Your Shoes Could Speak

Hello!  It's been awhile, sorry!

This will also be short and sweet.  I want to share with you two videos.  The first is called "If Shoes Could Speak".  I just thought it was interesting mostly because I LOVE shoes, but also for the various answers people provided.  It's an interesting question to think about, what would your shoes say?

The second video just makes me feel happy.  I'm not sure why, but I want to share and hope to make you happy too.

Sole Searching #4

Minnetonka Britney Moccasin

Oh moccasins how I love thee!  I do not have a pair of these right now, but I did.  Let me tell you the tragic love story that aspired.  I bought a lovely pair of moccasins similar to these, darker brown with teal cord, about a year ago.  I wore those moccasins everyday.  My original thought was to wear them around my dorm for slippers.  Well that thought turned into wearing them outside to take out the garbage and recycling,  to wearing them with jeans to class, or with khakis to school.  I know that I wore them at some point everyday, for about five months.  Then something tragic happened, they broke.  They developed a large hole right at the tip of my toes.  My entire foot could slide right out.  It was quite tragic.  But I guess that's what I get for wearing suede shoes in the rain...oops!  Anyway, I love these, they are the perfect balance between ultimate comfort and fashion.  They are the three C's, which I came up with right now: casual, cute, and comfy.

Mix No. 6 Madeleine Patent Pump (Purple...or navy)

I. AM. IN. LOVE. with these shoes!  They are the perfect height and thickness of heel. Great to wear to work!  Also let's just look at the bright shiny purple hue that they come in, what could be better?  (The navy is cute too, but I am a purple girl.)

Why these soles describe my soul, you ask?  They are fun!  I still believe that I am a kid at heart.  If I wanted to talk about the "mature, professional" personality of myself I would have posted the navy pair, but there is something about this color purple that just makes me smile and want to color, or do some arts and crafts.  I also love the shiny leather, I think it looks very polished and put together.  I think that describes me.  I am very organized and I think this polished look describes that well.

Sole Searching #2

Here is my first "Sole Search"


So here we have the Bandalino Zadina Croc Pump from DSW. That can be translated as "so here we have a really cute pair of heels that I can wear to school that have a pointy toe!"  This is a statement I am sure my Mom is probably tired of hearing, but it's true, I love shoes like these.  A low heel, pointy toe, a texture or pattern so they are not too "boring", and make a powerful clicking noise in the hallway when I walk.  I love heels.  Like I mentioned, that clicking sound that many people are annoyed by gives me a sense of power.  I also like the low heel, not because I can't walk in a high heel, but being on my feet all day teaching I need a low heel so my feet aren't screaming at me by the end of the day.  Lastly, they are a classic looking heel and I like to think of myself as a classy lady.  Yet, they do have that pattern, that little bit of excitement to set them (me) apart from the other classic looking heels.  Well that's the first look into my soul through a sole.

P.S.- As I am reorganizing and revamping my blog I came across a few problems.  One of those problems is some of my "sole searching" pictures are no longer available.  This is why there is no picture for this post.  I will keep trying to see if I can find a picture.  Sorry!

Sole Searching #1

So I am going to start something new.  Something that I am VERY excited about.  Something that will make my blog unique to any other blogs.  I would like to introduce you all to "Sole Searching"!!!  Let's get excited people!

So here's the idea.  I love shoes! (As if you couldn't tell by my blog title.) They make life better...well at least for me. :)  So I thought why not share with you all some different pictures of shoes that call out to me.  I will try to only post pictures of shoes that really say something about me and my personality and then I will give a brief description of why those shoes portray something about me.  This way I get to look at some pretty shoes and you get to know a little bit more about me.

Please feel free to post pictures of shoes that call out to you and let us know why!  I can't wait to get to know all of you a little bit more through one of my favorite things...SHOES!
