This weekend I "completed" (I actually got it as a gift) another project from a beautiful garage sale gem that I found this summer. I was perusing Pinterest one summer day and I came across a mail hanging system that used an old shutter. I thought it was clever, and I thought if I ever found a shutter that I should try it out. Well, at the end of the summer I went garage sale-ing and I hit the jackpot. One purchase was the door which I made into a bed frame (well my Dad kinda did most of that). Check it out--Garage Sale Gems 2 . Another purchase was a lovely shutter for the low low price of fifty cents! It was kind of large, so I set it in my Dad's garage to later be cut down a little bit. Well, honestly I kind of forgot about it a little bit, but this weekend my parents came out and brought it with! It is pretty cute, if I say so myself and very functional!
