This is going to be part one of a three part series. Many people on Facebook post one thing a day that they are thankful for during the Month of November. I have never done this, but I am going to try a version of it this year. Every Sunday this month I am going to post a list of my seven things I am thankful for that week/in general. I say seven but I have a feeling that it may be more than seven.
So to get the thankfulness started, this week's edition is going to be about all of the people I am thankful for.
1) My Family: these guys are the best! They are always there to talk to, to visit, to argue with, to joke around, to go shopping, to love, to laugh with, to cry with, to play games. Really they're just always there! And they rock at it! I would list out every single person, because I am thankful for each of you for different reasons, but then my list would be at thirty for just one week! So...this includes my Mom, Dad, sister and brother, grandmas, aunts and uncles, cousins (my first friends), and of course my nephew. UPDATE! I now have two more nephews and a niece to be thankful for!
2) The Librarians/The Brain Trust/The Mongeese Gang: Many of you know who belongs in this group and you also probably know how much everyone in this group means to me. You are the first close group of true friends I have had. I am so thankful to have met you all and so glad that we still can be our crazy selves now that we've all moved away.
3) SLC: Another very close group of girlfriends that I could not imagine not being a part of my life. I haven't know you all for as long, but I feel like there are many, many more memories that we will have. You all are awesome and made the last year of college very memorable.
4) Nikki!: I am so glad I went to Spain, because if I didn't I wouldn't have met you. You are a rockstar!
5) All of my friends I haven't mentioned (new and old): Without all of you, there would be something missing in my life. I am so thankful for all of you, because you all play a different role in my life. Some of you help make me laugh, some are there to talk to, some bring me back to reality, and more so, some make me believe that anything is possible. Some of you live miles and miles away, but you are always there for me no matter what. I am so thankful to be blessed with so many wonderful friends in my life.
6) My teachers/mentors/coaches: I am grateful to have met each and everyone of you. You have helped shape me into the person and educator that I am today. You helped challenge me, inspire me, and make me believe that I was capable of achieving anything. It wasn't always easy and I didn't always like it, but now I am extremely grateful for all the time, energy, and support that you invested in me.
7) My coworkers: I may be the most thankful for you right now. With this being my first year of teaching I have so much to learn and so many questions, and I could not have asked or found a better group of people to work with. You have all been so helpful, kind, considerate, and patient with me. Thank you for all of your support and advice! I am also so thankful for you all, because of the great work you all do everyday.
