Hi all! Sorry that it has been so long! I know that this is not an excuse, but life has been busy. The good news...I have a new, functioning computer! Yay! So hopefully that will get me back on the blogging track. The "bad" news....life is busy, BUT, I will try my hardest to check in once a week to update you and to hear back from ya'll.
So, my life updates. Not only do I have a new computer, but I also have a new home. I just moved to start my...new job! So many new things are happening and it seems crazy and hectic and unreal. I feel a bit like I am playing house. But once those first bills come and that first day of school arrives I'm sure that I will quickly realize that yes this really is "real" life. Anyway, despite the newness of it all, I am very excited to have a place of my own and to begin my career and my "adult" life. It seems a little nerve wrecking with all of the planning, getting to know people, learning about the town, and figuring out the logistics of living life. But, I am really excited for all of it! It's a new beginning for me, a fresh start. I can begin the next journey in my life and start to help my students find what their journey is.
Which leads me to my next "new" thing. These last two days and tomorrow I have been able to spend some really good time getting to know my coworkers while attending a workshop called Capturing Kid's Hearts. I have learned so much and I am excited to see how it will play out in my classroom. Along with that I feel a little overwhelmed with all of the information that there is to process, but I feel much less anxious than I did before the workshop because of how welcoming all of the staff has been. I cannot wait to start working with these individuals and to learn from them as I find my style of teaching and how I will Capture Kid's Hearts.
Thanks for listening in! I'll try to keep you informed about my life and my random thoughts more often!
