Now that you know the good news, I would like to tell you a little bit about my job search journey. Let me tell you that's what it was...a very long journey, or at least it seemed like it to me.
The Facts
Miles traveled: 1,977
Interviews: 12
Potential Jobs: 13
Offers: 3
I don't really feel like writing the craziness that has happened over the past four days because (1) it's a long story and (2) I don't really want to bore you. However, it was pretty crazy! I had four interviews in four days and when I left on my trip I only knew of two interviews. The other two schools called while I was on my travels. Let's just say I may have been a bit frazzled, mainly because I only had two outfits to wear! But instead of giving you the whole story, I would like to share this google maps picture of where I have been the last few days. Oh, and did you know, most of Central Iowa is flooded so there were road closings thrown in there as well.
But my last stop was Anamosa. At this point, I was becoming a little frustrated and was wondering if I was ever going to find that "right" school for me. My interview was at 4pm and by 7pm I had an offer. This was one that I knew I could not refuse. So, that is my story. I will be teaching Transition Math, Algebra I, and Honors Algebra II in the fall! I am very excited to begin my teaching career and I think that Anamosa will be a great place for me to start.
