You is Kind. You is Smart. You is Important. (Part 1)

So it has been about a month now since I've decided to start this blogging hobby, and for the most part I have keep updated more than I thought I would and I am enjoying doing it!  However, when I started I wasn't really sure what I wanted to use it for.  I'm still not positive really, it might just be a hodge podge of random thoughts floating in my head.  But it looks like in this past month I have chosen to post quite a few motivational things and that is what I will be doing this weekend as well. Don't worry, if you don't enjoy the motivational pep-talks, I will continue to post random funny and life updating posts, and of course about shoes!  I don't know if it's the teacher in me that gets me excited and frustrated and passionate about some of these topics, but I do.  My goal is to just get everyone thinking a little bit and to be aware of these things.  I also have noticed that I like to post videos and pictures to get my message across as well instead of writing.  I don't have the greatest confidence in my writing and more so in sharing my words with others about my own thoughts and feelings.  It is easier for me to share a video that can relay what I feel in my heart and mind.

I will not say a lot about this video, because it gets the message across pretty clearly, but I do want to say that no matter who you are, what you look like, how you talk, or what your beliefs are, you are beautiful, you are important, YOU are YOU.  That is an easy thing to say, I am no different than anyone else and I see what I believe my flaws are when I look in the mirror.  But that's just it, we need to remember they are the "flaws" that we see, not what everyone else sees.  And just like you and me, we all see some sort of "flaw" when we look in the mirror.  And those "flaws" are not who you are.  They do not define you.  The person you are is inside.  I hope you enjoy the video.  Stay beautiful!

Another video will be coming tomorrow...

    1. I enjoyed this video too. I believe there is truth in both of them, it depends on who you are as a person. However, I think that we all could learn something from either and/or both of them. Thanks for sharing.

    2. Oh, I didn't mean it as a message against your video. I think there's a very real problem with body image, especially among women, and I think it's great that Dove is trying to address it. I just laughed at the fake one, because it illustrates the differences between men and women.

    3. I agree with that. I think the fake one is funny too. And I do think there is a message we can take from both of them.
