Inspiration

Well I don't think I need to let anyone know that winter has arrived!  I'm sure I mentioned before that I enjoy the winter, weird I know. However, I am not oblivious to the cons that come with winter weather.  Here are some of the items on my winter cons list. (1) dry skin (2) cold finger and toes (3) it's harder to eat ice cream and (4) "winter woes".  This last con is the inspiration for this post.  Winter is a great time to snuggle up with a great book and some hot chocolate, watch movies, and bake cookies.  As fantastic as all of those activities are, winter is a struggle for many because it keeps you in the house more often and is filled with a lot of sedentary activities.  Now, I completely enjoy being sedentary and staying indoors, but there is something to be said for getting up off the couch, interacting with others, and stretching your body and mind.

So, I have decided to take on a new project...yoga!  Now, today was the first day I tried it and let me tell you I am not very flexible at all!  I'm hoping to do some yoga everyday to help me relax, rejuvenate, and energize my mind and body so that I can beat those winter woes, be more motivated to do the work I need to get done, and to more fully enjoy those sedentary winter activities that I love so much!
